We've spent the week exploring many winter holidays including Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. Today, we invited our fourth grade buddies to join us. We played Dreidel, a common Hanukkah game, and Oware, a common Kwanzaa game similar to Mancala. Encourage your child to share these games with you during the holidays.
Our class had a wonderful time performing for you last week and appreciate your efforts to come out and support us! We hope you enjoyed our music.
In math we are learning about Geometry! That means we're learning all about shapes. Yesterday, Mrs. Arce read us a story called Grandfather Tang's Story. Take a look at these pictures to see the tangrams we made of animals in the story!
This week, we began our study of geography. We will study the names and locations of the seven continents and five major oceans of the world. We will then use this knowledge to enhance our understanding of maps and landforms. We hope you enjoy this quick song we used to learn the names of our continents.
